
AREA SEARCH AND WILDERNESS
A trained air scent dog also referred to as Wilderness or Area Search can enter a large tract of woods or other wilderness area, locate human scent carried on the wind, find the person, then return to lead the handler back in for a rescue.

HUMAN REMAINS DETECTION - LAND OR WATER
A Human Remains Detection Dog can locate bodies whole, or in part on land, in water and under the ice. They are capable of detecting trace evidence, ancient remains and clandestine burials. They are quickly becoming an affordable resource for law enforcement, anthropologists and historians.

DISASTER
A trained urban / disaster dog can negotiate the rubble or debris left after a disaster, follow the handler's directions at a distance, investigate where a human cannot go and locate living victims who otherwise might not be found.

TRAILING
A trained trailing dog can follow the specific path of someone who passed by several days earlier, discriminate between it and another's trail and follow it through urban areas or over hills, marshland and other terrain.
